この作品は「難民」という、どこか居場所、自分のモチベーションを失くした根源的なテーマをもとに制作された作品。

流動的な形と鮮やかな色彩が、居場所を失い彷徨う人々の姿を象徴的に描いています。
赤やピンク系の形状は、希望と絶望の間を揺れる感情の「流」を表し、下部の鋭く立ち上がる波のようなフォルムは、不安定な環境の中で立ち上がろうとする生命の力を象徴しています。

この、国家や場所を越えて共通する「居場所の喪失」という普遍的な痛みを可視化し、観るものに深い問いを投げかけたいと思った作品ですが、製作途中はそれらを描こうとすると何故か植物になってしまう・・不思議な感触を覚えています。

植物とは「地球上の生命体のひとつで、主に光のエネルギーを使って自分で栄養分を作る生き物のグループ」とネットで検索できました。


This work was created around the fundamental theme of “refugees”—people who have lost their sense of belonging and their motivation.

The fluid forms and vivid colors symbolically depict people who have lost their sense of belonging and are wandering aimlessly.
The red and pink shapes represent the “flow” of emotions oscillating between hope and despair, while the sharp, wave-like forms rising from the bottom symbolize the life force striving to rise up amidst an unstable environment.

I intended this work to visualize the universal pain of “loss of a sense of belonging”—a pain shared across nations and places—and to pose profound questions to the viewer. However, I recall a strange sensation during the creative process: whenever I tried to depict these themes, they would somehow turn into plants…

I looked up “plants” online and found that they are “a group of living organisms on Earth that primarily use light energy to produce their own nutrients.”
